About The Pet Vet’s Services in Norman

We are a full-service veterinary office, offering both wellness and urgent care services for your pet. For your convenience, our office is open seven days a week — including Sundays — so you can take care of your little loved one before you start your work week. Some of the services you can expect are:

Vaccinations

The Pet Vet gladly provides age-appropriate vaccinations (according to AVMA and AAHA Vaccination Guidelines) to any dog or cat who comes to see us. At The Pet Vet, we are all about convenience for you. Consequently, you can schedule a separate appointment to get your pet vaccinated or simply have it done during their regular wellness check. Furthermore, all of our pricing packages are posted online, so you’ll never be surprised by a bill.

General Pet Exams

We believe that regular wellness checks are absolutely essential when it comes to veterinary care. Not only does it provide you and us with a baseline for your pet’s healthcare, but it also allows us to establish a relationship with your pet. When your little loved one has good memories with the same veterinarian, they’ll be less nervous to go in case of an emergency. Regular checks also help to create a rapport between your family and our veterinarians, so that you never doubt that your pet is in the best hands Norman has to offer. We also offer screenings for heartworm, flea, and tick-borne diseases, as well as preventative products to keep your pet safe year-round at their general pet exam.

Laser Therapy

We are proud to offer cold laser therapy at our Norman location! Laser therapy is a noninvasive procedure that can help with both minor and chronic injuries, as well as stimulate cell regeneration and increase circulation. Laser therapy is incredibly helpful to speed up the healing process after surgery. We want to be there for your pet before, during, and after any surgical procedure that they undergo; if you have any questions about laser therapy, don’t hesitate to contact us.

Microchipping

As much as our pets think of us as their family, they still might have the tendency to run off if they get distracted, leaving us worried about their safety. Microchipping helps to ease your worries as a one-time, permanent form of pet identification. Microchipping your pet will ensure that you can be easily contacted in the event that you and your furry friend ever get separated. Microchipping is not painful and is offered at The Pet Vet for only $30 with no activation, registration, or annual fees!

Chief of Staff Veterinarian

Remington Pettit, D.V.M.

Dr. Remington Pettit grew up in Southwest Kansas and came to Oklahoma in 2003. She completed her undergraduate degree at Oklahoma State University in 2007 and graduated from Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2011. After graduation, she was in mixed animal practice until 2016. During her time as a mixed animal practitioner she developed her passion for preventative medicine and soft tissue surgery. This position enabled her to see a wider scope of the veterinary profession and its importance in safeguarding our countries agriculture. Now with the The Pet Vet, Dr. Pettit is able to care for the pets of the Stillwater community by focusing on preventative medicine, client education, and soft tissue surgery.

In her spare time, Dr. Pettit spends time with her husband and daughter. She also attends as many Oklahoma State University sports events as possible. She has a funny farm full of animals that includes her two horses, two cows, two cats, and four dogs.
