Advanced Veterinary Care

About The Pet Vet’s Services in Prestonwood

We are a full-service veterinary office, offering both wellness and urgent care services for your pet. For your convenience, our office is open seven days a week — including Sundays — so you can take care of your little loved one before you start your work week. Some of the services you can expect are:

The Pet Vet gladly provides age-appropriate vaccinations (according to AVMA and AAHA Vaccination Guidelines) to any dog or cat. Your pet can receive their vaccines either in a routine wellness check or at a separate appointment — whichever way you would prefer. Package pricing is all available on our website, so you’ll never be surprised with a massive bill at the end of your visit.

Microchipping is a single and permanent form of pet identification that ensures you will be easily contacted in the case that your pet ever gets separated from you or your home. Your pet may feel some pressure, but don’t worry, getting microchipped is no more painful than any routine vaccination. At The Pet Vet in Prestonwood, we offer microchipping for just $30 with no activation, registration, or annual fees!

Screenings for Parasites and Diseases

At your pet’s regular wellness check, we offer screening for heartworm, flea, and tick-borne diseases, as well as preventative, prescription-quality products to keep them disease and parasite free until their next visit. A lot of diseases that can hurt your pet are spread by mosquitoes, and with Texas weather causing mosquitoes to be out essentially year-round, vigilant prevention is necessary.

Laser Therapy

We are very proud to offer laser therapy at our Prestonwood location! We want to ensure that your pet is taken care of before, during, and after any surgical procedure, and that’s why we offer in-house cold laser therapy after any dental or surgical work. Cold laser therapy is a noninvasive procedure that uses light to stimulate cell regeneration and increase your pet’s circulation. It’s great to speed up healing and to decrease pain after surgery.
