The Pet Vet carries all age-appropriate vaccinations, including the bordetella (“kennel cough”) vaccination that protects dogs who spend time around other dogs, such as at a kennel or dog park.
We follow AAHA canine vaccination guidelines, and we recommend titer testing following the puppy vaccinations for ensured protection against parvovirus and distemper.

The Pet Vet is the local veterinarian providing all age-appropriate vaccinations for your cat or kitten at a low cost.
We follow AAFP Vaccination Guidelines.
We use feline Purevax, the only non-adjuvanted vaccine available, to protect your cat against rabies and other diseases (non-adjuvanted vaccines do not use adjuvants that may contribute to causing a certain type of cancer in cats).

$15 Pet Exam
The Pet Vet’s $15 pet exam is a physical health assessment performed by a Pet Vet licensed veterinarian at the time of your wellness appointment. This includes evaluation of all vital parameters such as heart rate, rhythm and cardiac sufficiency; respiratory rate and lung sounds; palpation of peripheral lymph nodes and abdomen, assessment of skin and coat; as well as dental grading and body condition scoring.
$30 Microchips for Cats & Dogs
The Pet Vet recommends microchips for all dogs and cats.
No bigger than a grain of rice, the microchip is administered through a needle under the skin. The microchip insertion is a quick and easy procedure that can be performed during an exam or wellness check-up.
Each microchip has a unique ID number that will be linked to your pet’s relevant information. When a reader is passed over the microchip, the ID number is displayed and enables the contacting of the registered pet owner.
The Pet Vet microchips come with a lifetime registration.
Heartworm, Flea & Tick Prevention
The Pet Vet recommends annual screenings for heartworms and flea- and tick-borne diseases, including ehrichia, lyme, and rickettsia.
We offer multiple products to prevent heartworm disease in your dog or cat. Your local Pet Vet veterinarian can help guide you to the most effective options for your pet.
